Members-ONly Lake Wales Ridge NWR Field Trip

Visit the first Refuge established for the protection of endangered plants. The overnight trip will include visiting several protected sites to view plants and animals found nowhere else on earth! First stop is to meet a Nature Conservancy volunteer who will lead us on a hike at Tiger Creek Nature Preserve. Plan on spending the evening at the Archibald Biological Station enjoying a program by Director, Hilary Swain on the research at the station. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at the ABS. Day two will include breakfast at the ABS, and a stop at the Bok Tower to visit a plant nursery and learn of efforts to recover several rare plant species.
