Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge is hosting a Refuge Clean up Day, scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. The general public and organized groups are welcome. The Merritt Island Wildlife Associations will host a free hot dog roast for participants at 12:30 pm. Call 321-861-5601 to register and for information. If available, bring gloves and litter pickers. The refuge will supply trash bags and bottled water. Check in will be at 9:00 am at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center. The Visitor Center is located on SR 402, 5 miles east of U.S.1 in Titusville. |
