Public Wildlife Photography Exhibit and Lecture

Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge is hosting an art exhibit and lecture by acclaimed behavioral wildlife photographer Lou DiVita. Lou's attachment to wildlife and love of photography melded and created his passion for behavioral photography.

The workshop will cover the artistic aspects of photography such as light and its direction & color, geometry, background, color, and texture, etc.

Additionally, Lou will cover some of the basics of using Adobe Photoshop as well as information pertaining to printing. The lecture requires knowledge of the camera and image editing software. Participants do not need to bring their camera.

The workshop is being held at the refuge visitor center on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11 am. Reservations are required. Please contact Ranger Nancy Corona at 321-861-0668 or by email at Nancy_Corona@fws.gov to make reservations for the programs indicated.

Lou DiVita’s art exhibit will be on display in the refuge’s visitor center from April through May 2006 during regular operating hours.
